Design inspired by Frida Kahlo’s garments, both traditional Mexican skirts and huipils, and her orthopedic corsets; on a background referencing papel picado, Mexican cut paper banners. Colors reference Kahlo’s family residence, The Blue House, and the colorful palette she favored for both her paintings and her dress.
